Rose Cottage

We are now able to offer a second bedroom and bathroom. In the Annexe, separate from the cottage and house, the bedroom can be configured either as a king bed or two singles.  Both the Annexe bedroom and its bathroom are finished to a very high standard.  The bathroom has a shower and loo.  We can now able to offer accommodation for up to four persons with two bathrooms available.  Rose Cottage can be booked on its own, and if extra accommodation for another couple is required then the Annexe bedroom and bathroom can be booked as an addition.

Rose Cottage at ‘The Elms’ is a charming detached one double bedroom B&B, a self-contained cottage, with an additional bedroom and bathroom adjacent to it, set in almost five acres of extensive park-like grounds and rhododendron gardens. Rose Cottage is the closest bed & breakfast accommodation (4 minutes proximity) to the Christchurch International Airport and Antarctic Centre, and is nearby the Russley, Harewood and Clearwater golf courses. Close also to the University of Canterbury the Cottage is a quick 15 minutes to the centre of Christchurch City, the Arts Centre and Botanic Gardens.

Rose Cottage is on the major arterial route to all Canterbury’s skifields which are only an hour and a half away, so it’s a perfect base for exploring and enjoying all that Canterbury skiing has to offer. Your hosts Matthew and Louise have skiied in this area for many years and are able to give you up-to-date reports on snow conditions and the most suitable place to ski on any given day.
